In this role, you'll be required to:
- Design on-brand creative for social media graphics and some short-form video.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver designs that are creative, useful, and align with technical and brand standards.
- Take ideas from concept to execution, working with content producers, design colleagues.
You'll have at least 4+ years of experience as a designed, and experience with social media post design along with an interest and awareness in the Australian political landscape.
You'll (ideally) have video editing experience although the client is prepared to work around this if you're missing this one skill.
Given that it will be for the upcoming election, the expectation is that you'll be able to work to tight time-frames and that there may be some days with long hours involved in a fairly hectic office environment. I'm sure you don't need me to tell you though that some designers LOVE this kind of environment and enjoy the impact the adrenaline rush has on their creative process.
You'll be required onsite with the organisation so this opportunity is not suitable for those wanting offsite work, and you'll required to start on Monday April 4th all the way through to election day based in their Sydney CBD office.
You'll be given a PC with Creative Suite CC set up and ready to go, although you're welcome to bring in your own equipment if this is not ideal for you.
The design workload may fluctuate and will most likely decline in the last two weeks of the organisations campaign. For the first 3-4 weeks, you would need to be available to work potentially up to 6 days a week and with some long days involved. This is, of course, raised in advance because this is a non-negotiable requirement to the assignment and being unable to meet this requirement will mean that you won't be shortlisted.
Given this requirement, you'll also have a personality that reflects both being approachable and a professional attitude. You're there to help create outcomes and to be proactive and to contribute towards some great campaign work.
If this sounds like the perfect way to get involved in this upcoming election, then send through an updated CV and folio to ethan@creativerecruiters.com.au
Please note; this is position will require both full time and after hours, and being on site. If you are after part time, or are not able to do the work onsite, then this is not the right opportunity for you. Applicants must be Australian citizens with full working rights to apply. Only those who meet the requirements of the role will be responded to.
