Marketing Strategy Lead

The Marketing Strategy Lead is a senior-level role responsible for developing, executing, and optimising the overarching marketing strategy to drive brand growth, customer acquisition, and market share. This strategic leader works closely with executive, product, sales, and creative teams to ensure all marketing initiatives are aligned with business objectives and deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the end-to-end marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and market opportunities.

  • Lead market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer insights, and growth opportunities.

  • Translate business objectives into actionable marketing plans, campaigns, and initiatives across digital, traditional, and emerging channels.

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and performance of integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, sales, creative, digital, analytics) to maximize campaign impact and ROI.

  • Set clear KPIs and success metrics; monitor, analyse, and report on campaign performance, adjusting strategies as needed.

  • Manage and mentor the marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Oversee marketing budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the brand remains innovative and competitive.

  • Present marketing strategies, plans, and results to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a senior marketing role, ideally in a leadership or strategic capacity.

  • Strong understanding of both digital and traditional marketing channels.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful marketing strategies that drive business growth.

  • Exceptional analytical skills with experience in interpreting data and market research.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Creative thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into compelling marketing initiatives.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Experience managing budgets and external agencies or vendors.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (MBA preferred).

  • Marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot)

  • CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho)

  • Analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Tableau)

  • Project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday.com)

  • Social media management platforms (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite)

  • Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace
