Well what a year that week was!

Now that you’re all settled into your home offices or your new sharing of workspace routines, I thought I’d take a moment to quickly say THANKYOU.

It’s been a challenging week for all of us; our clients and peers, our candidates, our families and our friends.

Everything is changing at a rapid pace and each new day brings its own set of challenges. However, what I’ve heard first hand from our industry is a very real desire to rise to the challenge, using creative ways to collaborate and support each other in the process.

To our candidates, those who have lost permanent roles that never got to start, those who have had freelance gigs shortened or cancelled - thank you.  Thank you for your understanding, thank you for your kind words, thank you for your patience.  Every person I have spoken to has relayed positivity, hope and kindness.

To our clients. Some of you have had to make heart breaking decisions these past weeks, some of you have had to stand down entire teams and some of you have had almost all your projects put on hold.  And yet, I hear resilience, determination and innovation in all my conversations. Thankyou.

I also want to say a massive thank you to our clients who have managed to keep our freelances in their gigs, setting them up from home and not treating them any differently than you do your permanent staff.  You’ve simply gone above and beyond for them and for that I am eternally grateful.

Finally, I want to say thank you to my team.  They are the most resilient, self motivated, positive and collaborative Recruiters who are working under intense pressure acting as consultant, advisor and counsellor.

I’m so grateful to them and enjoy hearing the support they’re providing to our creative community, often simply by listening.  I couldn’t be prouder.

Over the next week or so we are hoping to see an increase in freelancer requests, as everyone finds new ways of moving their businesses forward.  We have a wide range of freelancers who are all set up at home ready to go when you are.
