Getting to know Pia Bach – Recruitment Specialist
I’m so happy to be here in Melbourne and joining Creative Recruiters! I'm looking forward to this next chapter and helping people find that role that makes them excited to get out of bed in the morning.

Who am I?
They call me 'ze German' but I haven't lived in Germany for the majority of the past 7 years or so. I studied Tourism & Events Management wanting to be a Festival Manager. During my studies I accidentally stumbled upon recruitment starting a job in Germany's top ad agency Jung von Matt and loved it. My studies have taken me to France, China, Russia and Australia of course. Up in sunny Brisbane I've done my masters in business and HR and afterwards started my career back home, recruiting and servicing the creative industry. Back in Australia now, I'm recruiting creative talent and enjoying everything Melbourne has to offer.
Where have I been for the last year?
Out and about. I left my HR and recruitment job in Germany last August to move back to Australia - I left behind working in an awesome team in one of Germany's biggest independent PR agencies and ventured up to Cape York to work in a roadhouse. This experience has definitely equipped me with the patience and resilience to be a great recruiter. To recover from the craziness that is remote far North Queensland, I went on a three month Muay Thai bootcamp journey in Thailand and now have a back-up career option working as a security guard - though I'm positive that won't be happening anytime soon. Upon moving to Melbourne, I started out with another recruitment company but soon missed my home turf - everything creative and digital. Here I am now back where I belong and working alongside some great people!
What am I passionate about?
This is a hard one to answer, as I'm passionate about many things. Professionally I would say that I love technology that makes our lives easier as well as matching the right people to the right company so that they have a job that doesn't just pay the bills but one that challenges them, one where they can make a difference and above all have some fun. You spend more time with your colleagues than with your partner or family - so I think who we work with is even more important to our happiness than the work we perform. Personally, I'm passionate about cheese, coffee and music, my dog Leo as well as social and environmental causes.
What is my vision?
To cure Mondayitis. Don't get me wrong, I love my weekends, too. But if your Sunday is ruined by the thought of having to go to work on Monday, something is fundamentally wrong and you might want to change a few things. If so, give me a call!
What now?
Now that I've joined Creative Recruiters, I'll be hiring to make the world more colourful one creative at a time.
