Our high profile government client is looking for a freelance Senior Graphic Designer who has extensive experience with style guides to assist them in shaping and enhancing their Master Style Guide (MSG) content, ensuring consistency and excellence across all print and digital applications.
This role is more about problem solving and not brand strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting best practice print and digital application examples utilising the new identity guidelines. This involves translating existing working packs into comprehensive MSG content.
You will also create detailed diagrams that elucidate systems and principles, including identification matrices. Additionally, you will maintain consistent colour palettes, text styles, and other design elements throughout all content.
Enhancing the MSG layout by adding new content, ordering pages/sections, and ensuring consistent treatment across modules will be a key aspect of your role. Finally, you will prepare all modules for online publishing, checking and fixing interactive functions as needed.
Our client is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer with a demonstrated ability to solve problems and develop briefs independently with minimal instruction. A proactive mindset with a strong initiative to lead others when required is essential. You should have a proficient understanding of design systems and their application in large-scale brand projects.
You'll be highly skilled in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign, with an emphasis on consistent application of styles, layout principles, and accuracy.
Copywriting and proofreading skills will also be used in this assignment, with the ability to articulate content within the style guide effectively. Experience in print and digital application design is crucial, with knowledge of Microsoft Suite considered a bonus.
The ideal candidate will be an articulate communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills. You should be efficient and meticulous in your work approach, ensuring high-quality results. Being personable and resilient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, is important. A quick learner with a positive attitude, always ready to tackle new challenges with a smile, will fit well into our team culture.
