The Role
We need a conceptual, sharp, and highly confident design professional who wants to be more than just an executioner. This isn’t a role where you’ll be churning out standard, predictable corporate layouts; it is a rare opportunity to embed yourself deeply into a freshly minted visual identity and solve genuine brand design problems.
Reporting directly to the Head of Brand & Design, you will act as the driving force behind the studio's creative output. You will take high-level overview briefs, unpack the user psychology and communication hierarchy, and comfortably develop baseline concepts from scratch. If you are a proactive thinker who loves to continuously suggest improvements and wants a clear pathway to step up into formal studio leadership down the track, this team will fully back you up.
Key Responsibilities & Required Skills
Because this role balances high-stakes identity strategy with hands-on production, we are looking for a versatile creative powerhouse who brings the following to the table:
- Brand Custodianship & Strategy: Systematically auditing and diving deep into the new brand guidelines to pull apart design constraints and build scalable, background solutions for the visual system.
- Campaign & Art Direction: Getting your hands dirty on major campaigns. You will collaborate directly with marketing teams and influence the visual tone on-set alongside directors of photography and video crews.
- Multidisciplinary Rollout: Executing premium, high-quality layouts across diverse media, comfortably managing large-scale, high-volume project rollouts of 100+ pieces across print, digital, and web formats.
- Modern Tool Mastery: Expert day-to-day familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) paired with mandatory, absolute mastery of Figma—where 90% of the entire marketing team's collaborative sandbox and layout ideation happens.
- Studio Mentorship: Leading by example with an authoritative yet collaborative style, confidently communicating and justifying your design choices to help guide and refine the skills of an internal Midweight Designer.
- Setup & Balance: This position is five days a week onsite.
- Culture & Environment: A highly fluid, down-to-earth, and dynamic space with a casual dress code.
If you are an efficient, reliable creative operator who loves original thinking and wants to genuinely own the visual trajectory of a premium brand, we want to see your process.
Please apply with your current CV and a curated portfolio that showcases your raw, standalone creative concepts and typographic depth.
