Our client is a well known brand who are based in the inner suburbs of Melbourne and they're on the look out for an experienced high volume retail Finished Artist to join their existing team.
Reporting to the Creative Director, you will be a practical, detail-focussed person who enjoys working in the catalogue industry. Working collaboratively with a dedicated and enthusiastic creative team, this role will help to ensure that all event campaign and collateral – including catalogue, pos and press – is delivered accurately and on time.
You wear your Finished Artist title with pride, and you understand when layouts need sharpening, where elements should and shouldn’t align, and can ensure price points are perfectly positioned and that everything snaps to grids.
Your prior experience has shaped you into being a detailed focused self-starter who is able to work as part of a team while managing their time and workload effectively, and you have an outgoing attitude and proactive nature to support that.
You understand that in house retail can be a constantly evolving and challenging beast, and you bring your enthusiasm, excitement and energy in each day ready to bring it on.
The role itself will see you produce artwork ready files on time and with a high attention to detail, ensuring that all deadlines and specifications are met and that all projects are released accurately & efficiently. You'll be able to manage your own time, taking on feedback and constructive criticism to ensure that all the work you produce meets the brand guidelines and requirements of internal stakeholders.
You'll have a proven understanding of catalogue timelines and schedules along with the annotation & approval process between a retail studio and its broader marketing team.
While catalogues will be a key focus, you'll also be supporting the creative team in delivering both print and digital executions, including retail print and retail POS. You'll also help to ensure the implementation of campaign creative across various channels with consistency of execution. As a result, you'll have excellent design, typographical and layout skills.
To be suitable for this role, you'll need 4+ years industry experience within a similar high volume retail studio environment, excellent skills with Adobe CC and Quickcut, and solid experience in navigating studio servers and DAMs.
Fair working knowledge of Microsoft applications would be advantageous.
Equally as important is the enthusiasm, creative and determined mindset that you bring into the studio each day. You know that the retail environment can be fast paced and at times not for the faint hearted, so your ability to be focused and resilient will see you get well and truly ahead.
