Job Description
The Role:
The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Marketing Director on many aspects of the role including some joint project work and with the National Sales Team, the in-house graphic designer and media contact.
The Marketing Department is responsible for co-ordinating and communicating the sales and marketing activity and strategy for the company. Additionally, the Marketing Manager and Marketing Director work with the Executive Management Team on overall marketing campaigns (B2B and B2C).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Accounts:
- Work with the Platinum and Key Accounts to implement advertising campaigns (print and digital) to maximize and grow sales and revenue.
- Liaise with accounts on creative for the campaigns.
- Ensure all current offers are communicated to the accounts and the product is current on their websites.
- Work with clients on developing new opportunities.
- Managing Direct Advertising (print, TV, online or radio) throughout Australia, including planning, negotiating advertising contracts and rates and working to deadlines.
- Create and manage joint venture campaigns with partners of the company.
- Briefing Graphic Designer on all creative.
- Analysing results and creating advertising strategies for all products.
- Management of all new product distribution strategies to both consumer and Travel Agents.
- Assist with writing engaging content for all editorial, website, social media, flyers and radio advertising when required.
- Prepare extensive product reporting and analysis to form budgets for all Marketing related activity annually for approval from General Manager and Managing Director.
- Ensure invoices are processed within the relevant timelines and Marketing Schedule is updated to track spend.
- Complete a monthly Marketing Report on all booking sources and enquiries, report to the General Manager and Managing Director quarterly.
- Keep up to date with sales statistics to ensure reactive marketing strategy.
- Review Business Development Managers weekly reports and actions.
- Weekly work in progress meetings with the Marketing Team.
- Weekly strategy meetings with General Manager (Managing Director attends subject to availability).
- Manage personal workload in Marketing Schedule & Marketing Outlook calendar.
- At least 3 years Marketing experience in a full-time capacity.
- High level budget management experience.
- Key decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders including internal and external.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple competing projects at the same time.
- Integrated campaign management experience from concept to execution and analysis across multiple channels.
