Your sharp journalistic instincts have you deep-diving into any and every topic so you can become an expert. Words like 'venture capital' and 'private equity' are a part of your vocab, and the stock market is a puzzle you are trying to solve.
You've got an interest in all things finance and business, but maybe you think that the big banks and investment institutions are a little dry and outdated. You're looking to work with an energetic, open-minded team who likes to challenge the status quo.
Our client is a fast-growing and self-funded investment service that provides bespoke private equity and venture capital partnerships, and they are looking for a skilled journalist to join their marketing team.
Your ideal day starts off by heading into the central Melbourne office with a coffee from one of the many top-notch local cafes, saying hi to your supportive team, then delving into research in the varied industries of your clients (anything from cancer treatment to new tech), interviewing internal and external experts, and developing media strategy. You might grab lunch with the team, then write to your heart's content for the afternoon, before knocking off at a reasonable hour (no crazy late nights or weekend work here) so you can enjoy the rest of your evening.
You'll be the go-to for all things journalism and media within the team, and will be able to draw from the expert copywriters, marketers and sales colleagues when needed. In order to be great at this role, you'll need to have previous experience writing for the finance industry, and strong interpersonal and communication skills. They're not a fan of micromanagement (phew), so you'll need to have the confidence to run on your own and lead your projects.
Perks include hybrid working and this being either a full-time or 4-day-per-week role.
If you're already sold on this great role, send your resume and cover letter to sidney@creativerecruiters.com.au or give me a call on 0468 385 638 if you have any questions (about the role, not the stock market - I can't help you there).
Please note:
Only those who fit the above criteria will be responded to.
You must have full working rights in Australia.
You must be based in Melbourne.
