You're a Midweight Finished Artist who has been working in the retail design space and you've decided that it's time to settle down in a permanent role.  You want a team around you that are going to help support you and take you up to the next level.  You want an environment that is going to keep you busy and give you opportunity to grow.  You want to be able to work across both print and digital.

Our client is a well known brand who are based in the inner suburbs of Melbourne and they're on the look out for an Midweight high volume retail Finished Artist (Graphic Artist / Production Artist) to join their existing team.

Reporting to the Creative Director, you will be a practical, detail-focused person who enjoys working in the retail and catalogue industry. Working collaboratively with a dedicated and enthusiastic creative team, this role will see you working across catalogues, point of sale, print and digital retail requirements (including EDMs, website banners and social media graphics).

You'll be able to manage your own time, taking on feedback and constructive criticism to ensure that all the work you produce meets the brand guidelines and requirements of internal stakeholders.

You understand that in house retail can be a constantly evolving and challenging beast, and you bring your enthusiasm, excitement and energy in each day ready to bring it on.

The role itself will see you produce artwork ready files on time and with a high attention to detail, ensuring that all deadlines and specifications are met and that all projects are released accurately and efficiently.  

You'll have an understanding of catalogue timelines and schedules along with the annotation & approval process between a retail studio and its broader marketing team.

While catalogues will be a key focus, you'll also be supporting the creative team in delivering both print and digital executions, including retail print and retail POS.  You'll also help to ensure the implementation of campaign creative across various channels with consistency of execution. As a result, you'll have excellent design, typographical and layout skills.

To be suitable for this role, you'll need 2+ years industry experience within a similar high volume retail studio environment, excellent skills with Adobe CC and Quickcut, and solid experience in navigating studio servers and DAMs.

Equally as important is the enthusiasm, creative and determined mindset that you bring into the studio each day.  You know that the retail environment can be fast paced and at times not for the faint-hearted, so your ability to be focused and resilient will see you get well and truly ahead.

NOTE: This is NOT a design role - it is a Production based role.
