We are looking for a talented UI Designer for an immediate, 3-4 week project with a prominent Victorian Government Department. You will be tasked with taking a fresh, high-level concept and transforming it into a functional, intuitive template mockup that demonstrates seamless user flow.
Note: We are looking for digital-first UI experts. No InDesign required—this is a 100% Figma-driven prototyping role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Template Design: Create a clean, scalable, and visually compelling UI template from scratch based on a minimal brief.
- Interactive Prototyping: Build out the "how it works" logic using Figma’s advanced prototyping features to showcase user journeys and transitions.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Deliver a polished, easy-to-navigate prototype that allows departmental stakeholders to clearly visualize the final product's functionality.
- Figma Mastery: This is non-negotiable. You live and breathe Figma, components, auto-layout, and interactive prototyping.
- Rapid Prototyping Skills: Ability to conceptualize how a template functions and translate that into a working digital model quickly.
- Public Sector Savvy: Prior experience working with government design systems or departments (specifically transport or planning) is a massive bonus.
- Autonomy: You are comfortable working with minimal initial information, asking the right questions, and driving the design forward.
