Freelance Catalogue Finished Artist
|Job Title:||Freelance Catalogue Finished Artist|
|Start Date:||February 26th|
|Contact Name:||Lawrence Akers|
|Job Published:||February 07, 2019 15:31|
They're looking for a skilled Graphic/Finished Artist who has high volume retail experience , who is practical, detail-focused and who enjoys working in the catalogue industry.
The team there is super collaborative and this role will help to ensure that all their event campaign and collateral (including catalogue, POS and press) is delivered accurately and on time.
It's important to stress that this is not a design role but it is a role for someone who understands when layouts need sharpening, where elements should and shouldn't align, who can ensure price points are perfectly positioned and that everything snaps to grids. Your outgoing attitude and proactive natures means that you'll be able to offer feedback where required and you can work as part of a team while managing your time and workload effectively.
You'll ideally have an energetic, enthusiastic and spirited character as well, complimenting the existing team.
This freelance position will see you developing and creating retail catalogues across both Australia and New Zealand, producing artwork ready files that meet deadlines and specification requirements. You'll also have proven understanding of catalogue timelines & schedules along with the annotation & approval process between a retail studio and its broader marketing team.
Your production and print knowledge will ensure that all of the print collateral is of the highest standard, and this will be highlighted by your 4+ years of proven industry experience within a high volume retail studio environment.
You'll (naturally) be across the Adobe CC software although Microsoft Office and Quickcut will be an advantage. While not a design role, you will have excellent design, typographical and layout skills with a good understanding of branding and working within brand guidelines.
You'll have solid experience in navigating studio servers and DAMs, and a sharp eye for detail which will allow you to confidently contribute in identifying opportunities to improve workflow or file set up.
If this sounds like you and you're open to this opportunity, then please send through your CV and Folio that showcases your work in this area to firstname.lastname@example.org or apply on the link below.
Please note that this position is only open to Australian residents or people with appropriate Australian working rights. Only those who match the criteria will be responded to. This is an onsite requirement so please no international or offsite only applications.
