They are looking for someone who will bring a strong understanding of digital communication, and who has flexibility in their schedule to attend media events when needed. You don’t need experience in the medical or research sectors, but you will need to have spent a few years working in a similar role within a large organisation such as a university, not-for-profit or service provider.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning and curating engaging content,
- Managing the website (analytics and performance)
- Taking photos and videos at events and editing them
- Writing website content, magazine articles and internal communications,
- Creating and executing social media campaigns
You will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field (plus training in design, film editing or animation desirable)
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Final Cut Pro or Premiere Pro
- Strong writing skills, and the ability to work with complex information
- An understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn), and digital platforms (website, intranet) plus technical ability to work in both the front and back end of campaigns on these platforms
- Knowledge of SEO, Google Anaylitcs and reporting
Above all, they’re looking for a team player with a can-do attitude. You’ll also need to be organised; able to work independently, stick to tight deadlines and manage your workload.
They have flexible working arrangements, currently working from home with the view to move to hybrid pending government recommendations. The successful candidate for this role will need to undertake a Police Check and Working With Children’s Check.
