If you're a Communications person with experience across project management, copywriting and even a little hands on CS experience, then you may be truly excited by this opportunity.

Our blue chip client is looking for a temporary freelance Communications specialist to assist in the position of Communications Temp Support for their technology services.

This is a role that is going to tap into multiple skills and provide you with a rich and diverse working day.

This opportunity is currently being broken up into two requirements.

The first is to cover an annual leave period from October 11th until November 4th inclusively, although there will be a handover prior for immediate start.
During this period, you will be required to update weekly and manage the teams annual comms calendar, ensuring communications are distributed on time and through the right channels. 

You'll also be required to organise and chair the weekly WIP meetings with the team to ensure all comms activities are captured in the calendar.  This is where your face to face people skills are really going to come into play, and being able to deal with a variety of personality types.

On the copywriting side, you'll be required to write, edit and post newsworthy intranet tech articles that are scheduled in the comms calendar to the intranet options as well as to external channels, along with updating the intranet pages as required and in consultation with your colleagues.

You'll be required to manage the contributors, provide general communication support and planning, and work with project managers to provide editorial review and comms planning support.

As you can tell, this is truly a role that is going to keep you busy, stimulated and tapping into your project management, coordination, and copywriting skills.

Once the leave has concluded, you'll be providing comms support to help achieve many of the strategic plans that have been developed and need implementation.   

To be suitable for this role, you need to have:
  • Strong writing and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Attention to detail, high level grammar skills
  • Ability to translate technical information (IT) into plain English
  • Experience working in a busy environment with competing deadlines
  • Experience using Adobe CC (Acrobat and Illustrator mostly) – minimal Illustrator but some knowledge may be required.
  • Experience working within templates
  • Confident using CMS for uploading content to the intranet
